Welcome to Day two of my Celebration Series! So today, I thought it’ll be fun to have my very first Wacky Wednesday on this blog!
I haven’t ever done one of these before, so I’ll just explain what they are about!
Wacky Wednesdays are the days of the week when I experiment, try out new things and basically do a lot of fun stuff that I wouldn’t usually do on an ordinary boring day!
This Wednesday I’m going to be making Slime for the first time ever, and I’m really really excited!! I know that most slime recipes usually work, but I’ve still heard of quite a few that don’t work as well and I’m quite curious to see how it turns out.
Oh, and I’m not just making any ordinary slime either-I’m going to be making glitter slime! Because we all know that glitter is amazing and wonderful and magical. (Unless it gets everywhere and you have to clean it up haha…That’s probably the only disadvantage 😂)
Anyway, let’s get started!!
Alright, so I’ve gathered my ingredients as you can see from the picture above. Now I’m going to add in a teaspoon of washing powder (or detergent), and three teaspoons of water as well as a couple spoonfuls of glue!
(I got this recipe from my friend who loves slime, she said the recipe is foolproof so that’s good enough for me!) 😁
(Please excuse the terrible lighting!!)
I’m going to mix it all together now and just hope for the best?
Alright so I’ve mixed everything together and this is how it turned out. Not exactly like slime….Unfortunately!
I’ve already looked up some remedies to fix my poor slime (I’m going to name it Jelly) but I’ve found nothing. And by nothing I mean that nothing is working to make Jelly look more like…welll…like slime 😢
Jelly is also quite watery so I’ve tried adding in more washing powder but that just made it lumpier. I also tried pouring out the extra water in the bowl and even adding more glue and slowly stirring it but everything just seems to make Jelly worse 😔
I think I must have gotten the recipe messed up so maybe that’s why it didn’t turn out well? 😢
I’m playing with her now and I’ve come to realize that-I guess that’s how Jelly is going to be from now on!
And you know the surprising part? ☺️
I don’t even mind so much because squishing her and just playing with her is actually really fun and really satisfying! I know it might not really look like it’s fun but trust me-it is! The only disadvantage is that your hands get kind of messy, but it’s still really easy to clean up.
It’s definitely not slime, but it’s still really unique! And the more I play with it, the more fun (and messy) it gets…
I’ve added in a TON of glitter now (although I don’t think you can see it, the picture isn’t very clear, I’m really sorry about that!!) and now Jelly looks perfect! (I hope so anyway!) (It looks awfully gross in the picture, but it wasn’t really like that haha…)
Making slime definitely failed, but when one door closes, another opens right? And this door led me straight to an even more fun (and squishy) ball! So I’m not really very disappointed! Quite the opposite actually. 😃
I think I learnt quite an important life lesson today haha…who knew that making ‘slime’ cold teach you so much? 😂❤
How would I rate this experience? Probably a three out of five. 💗
Will I ever try it out again? Yes! Definitely!! I want to make actual slime (someday) as well so I’m definitely going to be trying this out again! It might even turn out to be actual slime next time! (Well, hopefully anyway!)
And that’s it for this Wacky Wednesday!
What do you think of Wacky Wednesday? Do you like Jelly? (I mean the ball of fun and the real Jelly) Have you ever tried making slime before? If so, how did it turn out?? What was your experience like?Do you have any tips to share?? Oh and if you haven’t made slime then will you make it after this?? (I think you should still go for it!) Let me know in the comments down below!
P.S-If you are wondering why I called it Jelly, it’s because it moves about just like Jelly so I figured that, it should be it’s name! ☺️😂
